About your chef

Like any other good thing that happens in life, my cooking story began quite unexpectedly. Looking for a way to make a living, I started working as an apprentice waiter in a family restaurant at the Belgrade Fair when I was 18. I skilfully used every moment of my spare time and absorbed everything that was happening in the hot kitchen, standing at the door of the large banquet hall. Noticing my absence from the hall, the owner of the restaurant, who was also the main pitmaster, relieved me of my white shirt and impeccably ironed pants by transferring me to the kitchen. And that was the beginning of an unusual chemistry between cooking and me. I spent the next 18 years working in the best restaurants in Belgrade and abroad. The restaurants that marked my journey were the former “Ruski Car”, “Žabar”, and “Maleville”, where I formed the pillars of my culinary skills, which I later built upon in Russia and the surrounding countries. A special place in my career holds the HOMA-FINE DINING restaurant, where I spent three years. It was at that time that I completed the Professional Course of the Wine Academy of Serbia held in cooperation with the Wine Academy Austria, which is one of the best in the world. The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, where I currently spend my days preparing food for the Ambassador and his family, as well as for diplomats from all over the globe who visit our residence, comes as icing on the cake.
